About Samuel W. Bearman, Esq.

Samuel W. Bearman has been practicing law for more than 20 years in Pensacola, Florida. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 1973 and from Emory Law School in 1976.

During his years of experience, he has personally handled over 150 hurricane cases – going back to Hurricane Opal in 1995, and has been featured in various media outlets related to hurricane law.  Mr. Bearman has given numerous lecturers on hurricane law to lawyers as well as laymen.

In 2006 alone, he spoke to the:

• Southern Trial Lawyers Association (lecture entitled, “Hurricane Damage Insurance Claims” on February 24)
• Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (lecture entitled, “Responding to an Unwelcome Visitor:  Hurricane Claims Under the ‘Old Law’ and the ‘New Law’ on June 8)

Additionally, in 2006, Mr. Bearman set up the “Florida Hurricane Hotline” to handle questions related to hurricane law, insurance coverage, filing damage claims and everything in between.  It is answered 24-hours a day and is a free service available to everyone.

Mr. Bearman is a member of the Florida Bar and can practice in any State Court in Florida. He is admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the Northern District of Florida and the Middle District of Florida. He is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and the Academy of Trial Lawyers of America. He has been the past President of the Five Flags Sertoma Club, Pensacola Runners Association, Pensacola Junior College Booster Club and was on the Board of his Synagogue.
